From Island Dreams to NomadWeave: Where Style Meets Practicality
The ocean has always been a part of my story. Growing up in the Philippines, my father spent most of the year working on oil tankers, a nomad of the seas. His absence sparked a deep yearning for travel within me, a desire to explore the vast world beyond our island home.
Fast forward to 1999, and that dream became a reality. I landed in the United States, ready to carve my own path. Life took some unexpected twists and turns – marriage, raising five amazing kids – but the travel bug never left.
While raising our family, my husband and I were fortunate to experience many different cultures through our travels. We explored a good portion of the world, but Europe holds a special place in our hearts. The beauty of the continent and the ease of travel between countries made it a perfect destination for our family adventures.
Along the way, I discovered two things: a love for the effortless elegance of European layering style, and the constant challenge of packing light for a family of seven! Bulky sweaters and cardigans were often forgotten, left behind as we moved from one destination to the next.
That’s how NomadWeave was born. Inspired by my experiences and heritage, I’m creating travel-friendly clothing designed with YOU in mind!
